Here is a great partner set drill combo cardio workout from BB Renato Tavares and BB Tommy Wales.   This something that I lack in my own training and you can see how they put it to great use..

So this is just a quick post to let anyone left still reading this blog that I’m back…

A lot has gone on since my last post on here and now that I’m free of constraints I can start adding new content, and in the spirit of this revelation heres a little video to get things started.

Sorry for the layoff guys, I’ll try not to let it happen again…

Twister submission fun….

I’m not that good with any of the 10th planet stuff, mainly because I’m old and not that flexible so I stick with the old stuff, but it doesn’t stop me from enjoying a good old fashion 10th planet submission.  Here is Josh Hinger pulling off the twister at Grappler’s Quest.  I think I’ve only pulled this off three times ever in training and onc of those times was a complete accident lol….

Naudi Aguilar is a great personal trainer and his functional strength routines are really unique….Check out this great movement routine.  You should definitely look up his channel on youtube, there is a lot of great stuff for the BJJ guys out there…

Cobrinha Warm Ups..

I am always on the lookout for better ways to drill and warmup.  Well in this video from Cobrinhabjj.com I think I hit the jack pot. Here are some unique drills that are a definite must-add to your jiu jitsu workouts.  I especially like how Cobrinha adds some capoeira into the routine plus the heavy drilling for the inverted guard…

Quick video of Garcia tearing it up….

Full body exercise for jiu jitsu…

This is from the guys over at bjjworkouts.com  I really like a lot of their workouts, they are one of the few out there that have really good sport specific routines for the BJJ players.  This is just a small example of some of the types of exercises that they have to offer.  I like how they make standing up in a base position  into a core exercise….

Keeping with the theme of Butterfly guard, heres the great Bill Cooper with a really good Butterfly guard pass.  This is just another technique that I cant wait to drill when I get my knee back to working order!!!!!

I really like Pedro Sauer and his teaching style. He’s very detail oriented and is very good at breaking down the  positional moves.  In this video he goes over some common problems you run into when in someones butterfly guard and how to avoid them….

Great technical match up here.   This is a great exhibition of the use of the Berimbolo sweep and  De La Riva guard by Braga. Joel Tudor is always great to watch and learn from. The Berimbolo is a crazy technique to learn but once you have down its difficult for your opponent to deal with…..
