This is one of those cross-sides escape variations that I learned a long time ago but completely forgot about.  A lot of times in training you start using a particular technique because its so efective that it  becomes your go-to move.   However, over time people get wise to your particular game and that go-to move starts to be your guaranteed-fail.  So you have to make an adjustment in your game, be it a different variation of your favorite move or a completely different technique altogether, and good techniques like the one in the video below go onto the lost found shelf of your mind in your Jiu-Jitsu arsenal.

Well thankfully I found this technique again.  The shoulder walk escape is a great move that really takes you from feeling like your stuck like glue to the ground to getting you to a good recovery position fast.  Kudos to the instructor in this video for all the details he added, especially the framing section…
